Pred is a peer-to-peer sports prediction exchange built on Base. We let traders buy and sell positions on sports outcomes — with sub-200ms execution, spreads under 2%, and no house edge.

Unlike traditional sportsbooks that set the odds, take a cut, and ban anyone who wins too often, Pred operates as an exchange. Traders trade against each other. Prices emerge from real supply and demand. And winners are welcome.

Why we built Pred

Sports prediction is a $500 billion global industry still running on infrastructure built for a different era. Sportsbooks control the odds, charge 6–15% vig, and systematically limit or ban profitable users. The model punishes skill.

Meanwhile, every other major asset class moved to exchanges decades ago. Equities, commodities, crypto — all trade on transparent order books where buyers and sellers meet directly. Sports never made that leap.

Pred exists to close that gap. We're applying exchange-grade infrastructure to sports prediction, turning odds into prices, games into markets, and skill into edge.

How Pred works

Traders place buy and sell orders on a real-time order book. Prices are set by the market — not by an algorithm designed to protect a bookmaker's margin. Settlement happens on-chain via Base, Coinbase's Layer 2 network, providing full transparency and verifiable outcomes.
